MEDICATION-ASSISTED TREATMENT (M.A.T.) PROGRAM

 

Via Care S.A.F.E. (Substance Abuse Functional Excellence) Program

The Via Care S.A.F.E. (Substance Abuse Functional Excellence) Program uses M.A.T. (Medication-assisted treatment), which is the use of medications, in combination with substance use counseling and behavioral health therapy to treat substance use, sustain recovery, and prevent overdose.

Our S.A.F.E. Program is clinically driven and tailored to meet each patient's needs.

We Serve

Anyone who is willing to choose a life where they’re in control, including:

 

  • People who use drugs

  • Survivors of domestic violence

  • Formerly incarcerated individuals

  • Unhoused individuals

  • Individuals living with chronic conditions (HIV, Hep C, and more)

 

We Prevent

Alcohol and drug overuse, slips, relapses, and overdose by helping patients develop coping strategies to sustain recovery.

Commitment

The Via Care S.A.F.E. Program is a 12-month program that includes medical, dental and behavioral health support with follow-up appointments as needed.

In addition, clients will have ongoing check-ins with a S.A.F.E. case manager and will receive essential substance use counseling.

Insurance

Via Care accepts all patients regardless of insurance or financial status. We offer a sliding fee discount schedule to all patients for all services. We also accept various forms of insurance, including:

  • Medi-Cal

  • My Health LA (MHLA)

  • Medicare

  • Covered CA

  • Medi-Medi

  • Child Health & Disability Prevention

  • Family PACT

  • Private Insurance

Staff assists in health insurance enrollment for all clients.
