Call Center Hours
All our call center operators are both English and Spanish speaking.
Depending on when you make your appointment, you will receive one or more reminders from Via Care. Via Care utilizes Phreesia which allows you to digitally confirm, cancel or request to reschedule your appointment. A few days ahead of your upcoming appointment, you will receive a text and/or email asking you to confirm, cancel or request to reschedule your appointment.
Via Care utilizes Phreesia as our digital patient communication platform. Ahead of your first appointment, you will receive a text and/or email asking you to confirm, cancel or request to reschedule your appointment.
Three days prior to your upcoming appointment, you will receive a text and/or email including a pre-registration link. In the pre-registration process, you will be asked to complete and confirm all your personal information, health information, and insurance and upload photos of your identification and insurance cards. All patients are encouraged to pre-register ahead of your appointment as this will improve and expedite your clinic check-in experience.
If you do not complete the pre-registration process ahead of your appointment, you will be asked to complete your registration via your mobile device or a tablet in the clinic when you arrive. Please bring a copy of your identification and your insurance card with you to your appointment.
Via Care is proud to offer extended evening and Saturday hours at our 507 Health Center in East Los Angeles and our Tweedy Health Center in South Gate. To view all our locations’ hours, click here.
For any health needs outside of these hours, please call (323) 268-9191. We have an after-hours phone service that will connect you with a doctor within 30 minutes.

Do you need medical advice? Call a team of professional nurses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A trained nurse will answer your health care questions so you can take care of yourself or your family member as soon as possible. The nurses will interact with you in your preferred language at no cost to you.

Free Medical Rides
If you have a medical need*, you’re qualified to get free rides to and from your doctor. To plan a ride, call at least 48 hours before your office visit. The ride is free but it’s not for emergencies. When you call, be ready to provide information about your health ID card, your doctor’s name, phone, and street address.
You can call at any time (24/7):
* Medi-Cal enrollees must have a medical necessity form from your doctor on file with LogistiCare that tells why you need a ride to the doctor.
The El Sol Shuttle Service
The El Sol Shuttle Service covers East LA with 3 lines. The fare costs 25 cents. However, seniors (60 years and older), persons with disabilities, children under 5, and Metro Pass Holders ride free! See below for the various line schedules:
LA Merto Low Income Fare is Easy (LIFE)
Via Care is an authorized partner of the LA Merto Low Income Fare is Easy (LIFE) Program, which offers free or low-cost rides to qualifying individuals. Speak to a Via Care representative today to see if you are eligible.

Uber Credits
Via Care also provides credits and arrangements for rides to and from appointments using Uber for certain eligible patients. Ask your care team if you are eligible for ride arrangement.

Via Care Community Health Center accepts all patients regardless of insurance or financial status. Via Care offers a sliding fee discount schedule to all patients for all of our services. We also accept the following forms of insurance: Medi-Cal, Medicare, Covered CA, Family PACT, and Private Insurance.
Via Care Community Health Center provides services without the imposition of any durational residency requirement or requirement that the patient be referred by a physician.
Via Care is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n) for purposes of medical malpractice claims and, as such, qualified for protection under the Federal Tort Claims Act.
