HIV Treatment & Prevention

Living with HIV can be a challenging journey — but you don’t have to walk it alone. At Via Care, we offer a compassionate, comprehensive approach to HIV prevention and care. Through education, testing, treatment, and ongoing support, we provide the resources and guidance you need to navigate your journey with confidence and strength.

HIV Testing

The CDC recommends regular HIV testing for all sexually active adults and anyone who shares needles. All individuals aged 13–64 should be tested at least once, regardless of risk. The sooner you know your status, the sooner you can take control of your health.

Via Care offers:

HIV testing is free and available at all Via Care clinic locations.

Prevention: PrEP & PEP

Taking charge of your HIV prevention is one of the most powerful steps you can take for your health. Via Care offers both PrEP and PEP — two highly effective options for reducing the risk of HIV transmission.

PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) PrEP is a highly effective option for anyone who is HIV-negative but at higher risk of contracting HIV. When taken consistently, PrEP has been shown to reduce the risk of getting HIV by up to 99%.

Via Care offers two forms of PrEP:

Talk to your Via Care provider about which option may be right for you.

PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) An emergency medication taken within 72 hours of a possible HIV exposure. PEP is taken for 28 days and is most effective when started as soon as possible.

Dental Care

Your oral health is an important part of your overall well-being — and for people living with HIV, it’s an essential part of your care. Via Care offers dental services at the same clinic where you receive your HIV care, so you can access everything you need in one place.

Our dental team understands the unique needs of people living with HIV and provides compassionate, judgment-free care tailored to your health history and treatment plan. Services may include exams, cleanings, preventive care, and treatment for common dental concerns, all coordinated with your medical care team.

Support Groups

Sometimes the most meaningful support comes from people who truly understand what you’re going through. Via Care offers HIV support groups where you can connect, share, and find community with others on a similar journey. Ask your care team about current group offerings and how to join.
