Via Care proudly joined the nationwide celebration of National Health Center Week held from August 3rd to August 9th. National Health Center Week (NHCW), organized by the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), is a week dedicated to raising awareness and celebrating the vital role Community Health Centers (CHCs) like Via Care play in providing quality healthcare to millions of Americans.
This year marked 60 years of progress, and we honored this important milestone with a variety of activities, creating a week filled with connection, community, and celebration.
Monday August 4th – Staff Appreciation Day
On Monday, we honored our amazing staff with letters of appreciation stations at all our clinics. Patients wasted no time sharing heartfelt messages for their care team!
Tuesday August 5th – Patient Appreciation Day
Patients are the heart of every health center, and without them, we wouldn’t be able to shape the care we provide. We celebrated with an Open House at one of our newest locations, 284 Health Center, along with giveaways for every patient who visited. The event also featured pharmacy services and a warm welcome from one of our providers, Dr. Beltran.
Thursday August 7th – Population Focus Day
This day was dedicated to celebrating our senior patients! We hosted our third Live Well with Via Care workshop focused on Pain Management led by Via Care CMIO and Family Medicine Provider, Dr. Demetrio Cardenas. To make the day extra special, we offered a 30-minute yoga session taught by Dianna from People’s Yoga, followed by a lively bingo game. Our patients had a blast!

As we reflect on this special week, we’re grateful for the opportunity to connect with our staff, patients, and community.
