Via Care Health Fair 2026 brought together patients, families, community partners, vendors, and staff for a day of wellness, connection, and celebration. In honor of National Health Center Week, Via Care proudly brought back its community Health Fair on Friday, August 7, welcoming attendees from across East Los Angeles.
Attendees explored local resources, learned about health and wellness services, and enjoyed a day filled with activities, giveaways, and community spirit. More than anything, the Health Fair was a celebration of the relationships and partnerships that help keep our community healthy and thriving.
Celebrating National Health Center Week
Every August, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) celebrates National Health Center Week (NHCW) to recognize the important role Community Health Centers play in improving access to quality, affordable healthcare across the United States.
This year’s theme, “Building Innovative Care Where It Matters Most,” celebrates the incredible work Community Health Centers do every day to provide accessible, quality care where it’s needed most. Here at Via Care, we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than by bringing back Via Care’s Health Fair and spending the day with our patients, families, partners, and community members.
Connecting the East Los Angeles Community to Resources
Throughout the event, community members had the opportunity to speak directly with Via Care’s medical team and staff, receive wellness education, and access free health services, including blood pressure screenings, blood sugar screenings, dental screenings, Hepatitis C testing, and HIV testing.
Community members also visited booths hosted by local organizations and agencies that shared resources focused on healthcare access, family support, education, recreation, civic engagement, and overall well-being.

A Day of Fun for the Whole Family
While health and wellness were at the heart of Via Care’s Health Fair, the day was also filled with celebration, laughter, and fun. There was something for everyone to enjoy, from music provided by our special DJ and face painting by Hancholos Face Painting to bubbles, popsicles, and delicious tacos from Tacos Don Cuco.
More than just a health fair, the event was an opportunity for families, friends, neighbors, and community partners to come together, spend time with one another, and celebrate what makes East Los Angeles such a strong and vibrant community.
The energy throughout the day was a reminder that building a healthier community starts with connection, and there’s no better way to do that than by coming together and having a little fun along the way.
